Hi guys! I’ve already had so much progress in this game and I have to apologize for the lack of updates since when I’m gaming, I often forget that I have a blog to write on! Anyways, I’ve already come to the point where our character has already assassinated three of the major targets. I decided I should stop at that point and do this. I divided my whole progress into two parts so it won’t be too long to read ;). So here we go! Again, SPOILERS AHEAD!
We start where we left off at the Abstergo Facility. Remember how Doctor Vidic (yeah, I remembered his name now!) instructed Desmond to go to his room and prepare for their departure to the places where Altair discovered the location of the pieces of Eden. However…
Lucy returns with a bloodstained shirt. Apparently, she did something to the doctor and deviced a plan to escape Abstergo. But before that, Lucy took some files from the Animus. Desmond was then put into the machine again and reloaded some files from Subject 16 to Desmond. The new setting of the story will now take in Italy! 😀 Yay, Renaissance!
And so you will be able to witness the birth of Ezio Auditorre da Firenze. You’ll be seeing a lot of him in the next games. He’ll have the largest contribution to the data gathering of our modern assassins. Back to Abstergo, Lucy and Desmond fought their way through several guards.
After clearing out, Desmond will be transported through the trunk of Lucy’s car. Haha. “It’s for his protection” ;).
Arriving at their hideout, Lucy talks Desmond into joining the Assassin’s. Apparently, the Templars have always existed among us, living in different names of organizations. Assassins too and their brotherhood are still fighting a century-long battle against them, however, their numbers are thinning. Overpowered and outnumbered, the Assassin’s last hope is to fight the Templars against the race to find the other Pieces of Eden.
Of course Desmond will join! Else we wouldn’t have a game to play. xD. Anyways, meet the new team 😀
Shaun (dude at the left), in charge of the data collection and a huge d-bag if you try to talk to him; and Rebecca (lady on the right), in charge of the Animus maintenance and stuff. Kinda like Lucy’s job at ACI. So now Lucy is left with the flirting duty.
Back in the game, we now live as the adolescent Ezio Auditorre. Apparently, his family is very prominent in the city and during this scene, he’s picking a fight against another high ranking family in the city, the Pazzi (Google them, I think they’re real people).
This sequence will only ask for you to do fistfights with the Pazzi. Just go with the story. Make sure to use blocks as well. You’ll not start tanky in this game!
After the fight, you’ll meet Federico Auditorre, the eldest among the Auditorre brothers. He will then instruct Ezio to loot some money from the Pazzi he has beaten for healing. I assume you would relate, guys. Who would go home with bruises and bloodstains?
The Auditorre is a prominent family in Florence. They had people around them and huge influence in the city. At the start of the game, Ezio will be given several tasks and mini-games. Perhaps an introduction of what sidequests the game may offer. It includes Beat-up quests (mostly on cheating men), Mail delivery, Feather collecting, and more.
You still have to scale viewpoints in order to update your map as well! There are several things added to the map including blacksmiths, dress shops, doctors, and artisans. They all offer different materials that will help improve Ezio. Check them all out!
The architecture in this game was very spot on as well. You will feel as if you have really travelled back in time. Make sure to travel around different parts of Italy to discover its greatness during the Renaissance.
You’ll meet notable people as well. Including Leonardo da Vinci! Yes, people. He will play a vital role in the development of Ezio’s character throughout the game. He is a family friend of the Auditorre and only works as a painter. Maria then talks to Leonardo that he will be someone big and he should continue what he is doing. I wouldn’t want to tell you what will happen but let’s just say he’ll make the game very diverse and interesting!
You’ll have several errands to attend to after meeting Leonardo. Don’t worry, some of the things I did was not needed to complete the game. This sequence where Giovanni, your dad, gave you a task to deliver letters and fetch some information for pidgeon mail will be your last “normal” teenage quest. The people you will send your message will warn you that “they” are moving tonight. They insisted that Ezio and his family does as well. They took off without explaining Ezio the terms. Confused, Ezio returns to their house after all errands was finished.
However, the city guards have arrested Giovanni, Federico, and Petruccio (younger brother). Ezio then goes to the prison where his family is kept. Fortunately, Claudia (younger sister) and Maria Auditorre (mother) was spared from the guards and was taken by their housemaid Annetta.
Giovanni sends Ezio to get everything in his secret room. He also tasks Ezio to deliver documents to Uberto Alberti, a trusted politician by their family in Florence, for their safe leave of the prison. These should have been the documents supporting their innocence of what was being accused on them.
And thus, you will see Ezio as he takes on the place of his father. Wielding the weapons and the suit of his father as an assassin. Innocent of what was happening, Ezio then rushes to Alberti to deliver the documents. Alberti then reassures Ezio that his father and brother will be released at first light.
The next day…
The very person Ezio trusted the life of his family was the one to betray them. Apparently they have been framed by someone to be executed as being a heretic and a traitor to Florence. The Auditorres are not being accused of such crimes and are sentenced to death.
Alberti denies the fact that Ezio has brought him the documents supporting the innocence of the Auditorre. 
Ezio witnesses the horror of being robbed of the family he once knew. Filled with vengeance, Ezio charges to Alberti but was overpowered by several brutes guarding the gallows. My apologies for not having any screenshots, I was too caught in the moment and I thought I had to fight. However, Ezio was forced to escape for his life vowing to return for Alberti’s life.
After escaping his near death experience, he will be found by Annetta. She will instruct Ezio to go to a certain place where Claudia and Maria are hiding.
The hostess of the house is Paula, Annetta’s sister and the person who runs a brothel in Firenze. She will then teach Ezio the ways of survival when in tight situations.
You will learn how to blend, pickpocket, and hire factions to cover for you. She will then send you to Leonardo da Vinci. She tells you that she will provide what is needed for him to survive and Leonardo shall teach you how it is to kill.
Ezio then brings a codex page taken from Giovanni’s documents along with the broken bracer from the same chest. Leonardo then fixes your blade and teaches you ways of assassination. You will learn how to assassinate from a height, from hiding spots, and high profile assassinations.
Being a family friend of the Auditorre, Leonardo will be accused of a soldier harboring Ezio. Ezio was notorious at the moment since he is the only surviving male Auditorre in Firenze. Leonardo was then being beaten by the guard when Ezio struck him from behind. Leonardo tells Ezio to pick up the body and bring it to his office. Their government allows Leonardo to harbor dead bodies in order for him to study anatomy (Fishy). Then Ezio sets off back to the brothel to ask for information where he might find Alberti.
Equipped with skills and the blade to do the job, he sets off where Paula caught wind of where Alberti might be. Ezio shall infiltrate the area and will successfully kill Alberti, announcing that the Auditorres are still alive.
Ezio will go and escape the area (as how we do with Altair after a major assassination). BTW, you’ll encounter glyphs around the game. Kinda like the ones you found in your room left by Subject 16. Rebecca tells you that there are 20 of them within the sequence and will show you the “truth”.
Areas with glyphs will be marked on the database with a glowing red eye. After accessing one of them through eagle vision, you will enter a mini-game wherein you have to solve several puzzles in order to unlock a piece of video clip about this “truth”.Going back to the story, Ezio returns to the brothel after his success.
However, he will confront Claudia and Maria who were still innocent of what happened to their father and brothers. Ezio decides it is best that they leave Firenze for now. They still have a mansion in San Gimignano where his Uncle Mario will be waiting. After all that’s happened, it is best for the Auditorre to leave Florence after Ezio announcing he has killed a politician (duh).
